MATHEW LAUER (he/him/his)

Volunteer Outreach Coordinator, International Institute of Minnesota

Mathew is from Little Canada, and studied Cultural Studies and Comparative Literature at the University of Minnesota. After teaching English in Bulgaria amid the COVID-19 pandemic, he sought a role in service of his local community, and was drawn to the VISTA program for its ideological zeal in combating economic inequality. He is grateful to be serving this year as the Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator for the International Institute of Minnesota, where he works to develop organizational capacity in service of Minnesota’s many vibrant immigrant communities.
