I came to AmeriCorps after finishing grad school and getting a master’s degree in public health. I wanted to be able to work in the communities and organizations that I care about, but that can’t always afford to hire someone with my background. I’m in my second year of service and I’m really happy with the work I’ve accomplished and the impact it has had on the organizations I’ve worked with.
Beyond AmeriCorps, I am a mom to a very sweet 9-year-old boy who lights up my life. We like to watch movies, build DND characters, and play games. I love going to his sporting events and cheering him and the team on. I also love to read, garden, walk our dog, and eat good food (that I don’t cook).
